The start of the 2017 parade will feature the "2000GT" Bond Car-where the model is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Approximately 150 privately owned vehicles will be driven in chronological order alongside next-generation vehicles such as the Toyota "I-Road" to in order to generate the atmosphere of a festival where visitors are able to experience and witness the evolution of automobiles through the years.

Coinciding with the parade, the Aichi Expo Memorial Park will also hold an exhibition entitled "Dreams and Desires: 1960s Sports Cars," which focuses on the birth of genuine Japanese-made sports cars that followed the rapid progress in motorization after the 1964 Tokyo Olympics in Japan.

Five classic cars from Japan, the U.S., and Europe taken from the museum's collection will go on display and be driven around the Classic Car Circuit (CCC):

- the 2000GT Bond Car that was created for the James Bond film You Only Live Twice;
- the "Mazda Cosmo Sport(1)" which, like the 2000GT, features a rotary engine that was first developed 50 years ago;
- the "Nissan Silvia" that boasts character lines cut with jewel-like precision;
- the best-selling "Ford Mustang;"
- and the "Jaguar E-Type Roadster," which had a significant influence on later sports cars.

This year, Toyota will also collaborate with the Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry to conduct test rides of the next-generation i-Road, "COMS" and "Winglet" mobility vehicles as part of the Mono+Sugo Project2.
