Fujitsu Expands Mid-career Recruitment

TOKYO, Nov 11, 2019 - (ACN Newswire) - Fujitsu Limited today announced that it will increase the number of mid-career recruitment from the previously planned 150 to 300 in fiscal 2019. The company aims to further strengthen its talent in order to expand the DX Business as stated in its management policy.

In expanding the number of new hires, Fujitsu will accelerate the recruitment of highly specialized talent, such as AI engineers, cybersecurity engineers and data scientists, expected to comprise a competent, business-ready workforce. In addition, the company will newly recruit talent with few to several years of work experience in another company where they joined as new graduates. Fujitsu will seek their potential for future growth regardless of their IT related work experience, in order to recruit diverse and highly-skilled talent from both within and outside Japan.

In line with the expansion of career recruitment, Fujitsu will also create a training environment in which each employee can select necessary training, ensuring that new hires can develop their career at an early stage. In addition, Fujitsu will support the growth of mid-career talent by offering training to help them acquire the same level of IT-related business knowledge as new graduates.

Fujitsu is working to strengthen its human resources by increasing the number of career hires and by hiring new graduates throughout the year starting in fiscal 2019. By accelerating the shift from IT companies to DX companies, we are contributing to solving various issues facing customers and society.
