Fuji Electric Asia Pacific Honored at Asian Manufacturing Awards 2013
Award for Best Servo Drive/Motor Provider serves as testament to Fuji Electric Asia Pacific's commitment to quality and innovation

SINGAPORE, Aug 30, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Fuji Electric Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. was awarded Best Servo Drive/Motor Provider at this year's Asian Manufacturing Awards (AMA) 2013. Fuji Electric Asia Pacific clinched the award this year as a result of the high functionality and reliability of its Servo Systems.

Award winners were announced at the AMA gala dinner and awards ceremony which was held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

Johnny Chia, Sales & Marketing Manager, Drive & Automation Division at Fuji Electric Asia Pacific highlighted, "Fuji Electric's Servo Systems are widely applied in general industrial machinery such as semiconductors, LCD and electronic parts manufacturing in the region."

Chia added, "It is an honor to receive the Best Servo Systems Provider award and be recognized for features such as compact size, easy setup and high reliability and functionality. This serves as a milestone for us in the Asian market. We will continue to develop innovative and quality products that meet the needs of our customers."

Starting servo system in the early 80's, Fuji Electric has continuously worked towards expanding its product range, broadening the motor line-up and improving functionally to support various industry applications and requirements.

Fuji Electric's Alpha 5 servo system deploys a high-speed processing circuit comprised of a CPU and custom LSI chip. The control algorithm has been developed to further realize a frequency response of 1,500 Hz and high-speed positioning capacity.

In addition, a 20-bit high resolution encoder has enabled more accurate estimation of the load inertia resulting in a smooth and precise positioning operation. The Alpha 5 servo system also equipped with a command pulse smoothing function, an automatic notch filter, and a new vibration suppressing control to realize a significant reduction in the time required for adjustment at system start-up.

Fuji Electric's Servo Systems has been widely used and accepted by renowned hard disk and electronic manufacturers in Singapore and by most of the original equipment manufacturers for pick and place, testing handler machineries and other semiconductor applications apart from robust industrial applications.

Organized by Contineo Media, AMA provides timely and valuable recognition for companies providing industrial technology solutions and value-added services. Winners were selected by an international panel of expert judges and externally audited to ensure fairness and transparency.
