Forming Strategic Alliance to Distribute Pharmaceutical Excipients

HONG KONG, Feb 19, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Connell Brothers (CBC) announced today that it is appointed by the FMC Corporation, a world leading specialty chemical company, to distribute their pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical excipient-based nutraceuticals product line in Japan. This is the two companies' first distribution agreement in the pharmaceuticals market. Connell Brothers currently represents FMC in the nutrition market segments in Southeast Asia.

The products include Avicel(R) Microcrystalline Cellulose, the world's leading Pharmaceutical binder, Ac-Di-Sol(R), a croscarmellose sodium developed to enhance rapid disintegration in tablets, Alubra(R), a specialized lubricant that improves API dissolution, and Aquacoat(R), pseudo-latex technology that enables aqueous presentation of water-insoluble polymers. All these products are compliant with regulatory guidelines in major markets around the world.

The agreement strengthens CBC offering in the pharmaceutical segment where it serves customers in the highly competitive and innovative Japan market. This is in line with CBC's long-term direction to partner with leading chemical manufacturers to bring to market the best and most advanced products, along with strong technical expertise that enables customers to grow their business.
