Central Kalimantan, INDONESIA, Jan 01, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - PT Rimba Raya Conservation (PT RRC) is again purchasing various types of seedlings from local communities for the replanting program in PT RRC's deforested work area.

In mid December, PT RRC purhased 43,152 various types of seedlings, such as jelutong, blangiran, coffee, and melaleuca cajuputi, provided by Ulak Batu village, Danau Sembuluh subregency, Seruyan regency, Central Kalimantan - one of 10 partner villages of PT RRC. PT RRC purchased the seedlings for Rp. 4000 each, for planting on the north side of PT RRC's work area - part of Ulak Batu village territory.

In other words, the community will have additional income through the purchases of seedlings by PT RRC."

Jalil further stated that the replanting program not only included the local purchase of tree seedlings, but the community was also given task of planting the seedlings in the replanting program area.
