Trade Events for Manufacturing and Oil & Gas Sectors Helped Plug Local Gaps in Industry Knowledge and Technical Expertise
YANGON, Myanmar, Oct 28, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Government officials, industry associations, and trade professionals from Myanmar's manufacturing and oil and gas sectors were gathered at the Myanmar Event Park last week to attend the second editions of Manufacturing Myanmar and Oil & Gas Myanmar. The only dedicated trade events in the country, both Manufacturing Myanmar and Oil & Gas Myanmar concluded on Saturday, 17 October at the Myanmar Event Park.
The events saw a total of 4,290 attendees, comprising special guests, conference speakers and delegates, trade visitors and press members. In addition to offering local buyers a display of quality machines, tools and equipment from around the world, they also had the opportunity to engage with international peers and experts, tapping their knowledge of the latest trends and developments currently impacting today's global economic and manufacturing scenes.
Enhancing industrial productivity
Gathering key international brands in one place, Manufacturing Myanmar 2015 is the event where local manufacturers had the chance to check out new and best-seller products brought to the Myanmar market by leading international manufacturers and distributors.
The show brings to the local manufacturing community a wide variety of equipment from around the world. They range from basic factory equipment such as hand tools, motors, air compressors and pallet systems from China, India, Japan and Malaysia to welding equipment from Korea, Thailand and USA, a hydraulic plate bending machine from Italy, a laser marking device from Germany, cutting tools and tooling systems from Germany, Korea, Taiwan and USA and test & measurement devices from Japan and USA.
Many exhibitors, especially ones entering Myanmar for the first time, got to meet with potential local agents and distributors. Through networking and interactions with local buyers at Manufacturing Myanmar 2015, they were able to amass valuable insights into the local manufacturing landscape and business environments.
"The show is a great launch pad for TRUMPF in Myanmar, allowing us to create awareness and to build more business partnerships," said Mr. Edward Yuen, General Manager of TRUMPF, Singapore.
Trade attendee, U Aung Tun Naing, Managing Director from Asia Rex commented that "it was a fruitful visit and I saw many new machines that are more efficient to provide fast turnaround for my organisation."
Ramping up oil & gas technologies and services
With international and national oil companies getting ready to begin exploration work and other related activities in Myanmar, Oil & Gas Myanmar 2015 proved to be timely for the local scene. At the event, professionals from all facets of the country's oil and gas industry were able to navigate around specialised technologies and solutions that could help them prepare for the onslaught of demands from oil and gas projects and activities.
Mr. Issac Lai, Senior Manager for Business Development of Blue Capital / Calm Oceans commented, "The largest exhibition in Myanmar, Oil & Gas Myanmar was very well organised and well participated. It was a good show to engage with the oil & gas industry stakeholders. Very pleased to be here!"
"I think the Oil & Gas 2015 Myanmar Exhibition is the only relevant show in the Industry where we can see a broad scale of products and services displayed. We are pleased to be exhibiting and showcasing our new technology of seismic shot hole drilling at this prominent event. It was rewarding to meet all our customers and existing partners at our booth," said Ms. Kay Khine Myo, Marketing Manager of SMART Technical Services, a home grown company.
U Aung Kyi, Sales Manager of Golden Dowa Eco-System Myanmar commented on his visit, "I am impressed with Oil & Gas Myanmar 2015 as it has met my expectations. I have established a partnership with a foreign company and look forward to more business leads at the next event."
Opportunities to network and plug vital gaps in knowledge extended beyond the Oil & Gas Myanmar show floor. Delegates who attended the Oil & Gas Myanmar 2015 Conference not only got to listen to a mix of international and local industry think-tanks share their knowledge on the country's onshore and offshore markets, investment outlook for the industry, as well as topics related to infrastructure, financial and human resources. Delegates also had the chance to interact with these experts and their peers through numerous networking sessions presented during the conference.

The manufacturing and oil and gas industries are booming and I am sure that our industrialists will have a lot to learn from the exhibitions to enhance their professional competency."
