The Hong Kong Institute of Directors Announces Winners of Directors Of The Year Awards 2014

HONG KONG, Dec 09, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - The Hong Kong Institute of Directors ("HKIoD") announced and honoured winners of the Directors Of The Year Awards ("DYA") 2014 today at the 17th Anniversary Dinner of the Institute held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 600 guests from different industries and sectors were present on the occasion to celebrate the winners' achievements through their outstanding dedication to corporate governance.

The evening was hosted by Mr Henry Lai, Chairman of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, with Professor K C Chan, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, as the Guest of Honour.

In its fourteenth year, the Awards carry the theme of "Effective Leadership: Key to Corporate Success" to acknowledge the importance of boards and directors to achieve corporate success through constantly exploring development opportunities and through compliance with the guidelines of local regulatory bodies.

Mr Henry Lai said, "HKIoD cherishes this opportunity to honour the on-going efforts of directors to lead their company to achieve corporate success through the implementation of strategies to accomplish corporate goals. Directors of the Year Awards 2014 is organised by HKIoD and co-organised by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of the HKSAR Government, the Securities and Futures Commission and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
