Hub Media and Utusan Studios Enter into a Distribution Partnership

MIPTV, Cannes, Apr 14, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Utusan Studios (Malaysia) has announced an exclusive partnership for distribution of new and original content worldwide.

Hub Media (Singapore) will be representing Utusan Studios' documentaries and factual content, with subjects ranging from lifestyle to sports. This partnership kicks off with two premium documentaries, "The Malaysian Fish Hunters" and "Tongkat Ali: Rise of the Miracle Herb".

The Malaysian Fish Hunters tells the story of the ancient art of fishing, uniquely practised in Terengganu, one of the states in Malaysia. It is a story about a 70-year old man who is able to identify the exact location of different varieties of fish by listening to the murmurs of the aquatic creatures while being immersed underwater.

Tongkat Ali: Rise of the Miracle Herb is the first in-depth documentary, produced for the international market, of eurycoma longifolia, a flowering plant unique to Southeast Asia. It unpacks the myths and mysteries surrounding the organic testosterone-booster, touted as the Asian Aphrodisiac.

The documentaries will be fronted by Malaysia-based production house, Lineclear Motion Pictures. With vast knowledge in content development and production management, Lineclear will work in close collaboration with Utusan Studios in taking the stories from print to screen.
