The Forum has attracted more than 200 guests from the political and economic sectors from across Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to discuss the future economic and commercial development in Greater China.
Mr. Anthony Fan, Founding President of The Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Director Association, said in the welcome speech, "We are honoured to have experts and representatives on corporate governance from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan as guest speakers to share their insights and provide in-depth views on corporate governance and related issues. The Forum would not be successful without the wholehearted support from many organizations. Good corporate governance should be the result of the collective effort from regulators, investors, corporate management teams and boards of directors, including executive directors and non-executive directors. As a principal organization representing INEDs in Greater China, HKiNEDA aims at enhancing their professional development so as to promote more effective corporate governance."
"I am also pleased to announce the launch of the HKiNEDA talent pool. Since the incorporation of HKiNEDA one-and-a half years ago, we have recruited more than 300 members from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Currently, many members have uploaded their biography to the talent pool. The launch of the talent pool will not only provide a professional platform for listed companies looking for INEDs, but also create more opportunities for the development of professional directors." Mr. Anthony Fan added.
Mr. Roy Lo and Mr. Rex Yeung, Founding Deputy Presidents of The Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Director Association said, "As corporate governance standards in Greater China rise, our association would like to equip the INEDs with professional expertise to promote good corporate governance of listed companies and support the sustainable development of the capital markets across Greater China through the 'Greater China INED Forum'."
