デンソー、アスモ株式会社と事業統合

電動化や自動運転技術の実現に向け、モーター事業を統合

愛知, 2017年12月04日 - (JCN Newswire) - 株式会社デンソー（本社：愛知県刈谷市、社長：有馬浩二、以下、デンソー）と、デンソーの連結子会社であるアスモ株式会社（本社：静岡県湖西市、社長：桑村信吾、以下アスモ）は、本日、2018年4月1日（予定）を効力発生日とし、事業統合を行うことについて基本合意書を締結しました。

アスモは、デンソーおよびデンソーの北米完全子会社(デンソーインターナショナルアメリカ)が92.38%の株式を保有する連結子会社であり、主に自動車用小型モーターシステム製品の開発・製造・販売を行っています。

昨今の急激な電動化、自動運転技術の進展の中で、環境に優しい車、より安全な車を実現するためには電動化や自動運転のシステムを構成する重要なコンポーネントであるモーターの性能と信頼性を一層向上させる必要があります。デンソーグループではこれまで、小型モーターはアスモ、高出力の大型モーターはデンソーがそれぞれ事業を行ってきましたが、今後の高精度、高付加価値のモーターの技術開発には、高いレベルの技術革新と機電一体製品を中心とした車両視点での製品開発が必要と考え、アスモ、デンソーそれぞれが培ってきたモーター技術の強みを融合することでこれを実現することを目的に事業統合することを決定しました。

モーター事業を統合することで、デンソーの各事業グループとの連携強化により、技術開発のスピードアップ・レベルアップを図り、電動化システム、自動運転システムの技術開発の強化とともに環境に優しく、安全快適なモビリティ社会の実現に貢献していきます。
