エーザイ、タイにおいてThai Life Insuranceとアルツハイマー病をはじめとする認知症の治療に対するアクセス支援に向けた協働について合意

東京, 2022年11月04日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役 CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、当社のタイ販売子会社である Eisai（Thailand）Marketing Co., Ltd., （以下エーザイ・タイランド）がタイの大手生命保険会社である Thai Life Insurance Public Company Limited（本社：タイバンコク、Director & CEO：Chai Chaiyawan、以下 Thai Life Insurance）と、タイにおけるアルツハイマー病をはじめとする認知症の治療に対するアクセス支援に向け協働することに合意したことをお知らせします。

タイでは、急速な高齢化に伴って、認知症当事者数は現在の 60 万人から 2030 年には 110 万人に大幅に増加すると予測されており、アルツハイマー病をはじめとする認知症ケアによる当事者様やそのご家族の経済的な負担も大きくなることが想定されています。

今回の合意により、エーザイ・タイランドは、生命保険・医療保険商品等の設計・開発にノウハウを有する Thai Life Insurance とともに、タイにおける次世代アルツハイマー病治療薬へのアクセスを企図し、アルツハイマー病をはじめとする認知症をカバーする保険商品の設計、疾患啓発活動、ならびに認知症エコシステムの構築に取り組んでいきます。
