日英伊3ヵ国による次期戦闘機を共同開発

東京, 2022年12月09日 - (JCN Newswire) - 日本政府は本日、英国政府およびイタリア政府との間で、次期戦闘機を共同で開発することを発表しました。

当社はこれまで、先進技術実証機（X-2）をはじめとする各種関連研究を通じて戦闘機の最先端技術を獲得、2020（令和2）年10月末には防衛省と次期戦闘機開発に係る契約を締結し、構想設計等開発作業を推進してきました。また、この中で防衛省とともに英伊両国との協力の可能性についても検討を行ってきたところです。

今般の日英伊政府発表を受けて、今後の開発作業は日英伊3ヵ国により進められることになります。当社としましても、日英伊3ヵ国が保有する最先端技術および知見を結集できるよう、各国政府および企業と緊密に連携しながら、次期戦闘機の開発に鋭意取り組んでいきます。

また、次期戦闘機における国際協力に国内関連企業が幅広く参画することで、科学技術分野での人材の育成や、デジタル・トランスフォーメーションの推進等、産業界の革新を促すことが期待されます。当社は、我が国の防衛産業基盤全体が強化されるよう、次期戦闘機の開発に取り組み、日本の安全保障に貢献していきます。
