Philippines to Host 4th Annual Global CSR Summit 2012

TOKYO, Mar 01, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - As Asia begins to lead the world as the main economic engine, issues that have become important include corporate ethics among executives, innovative and sustainable growth, integration and fair distribution of wealth among societies, and accelerating the rate of innovation in environmental protection amid more frequent occurrence of environmental disasters.

Building on the success of the Global CSR Summit and the Global CSR Awards in 2011, The Pinnacle Group International will be holding the 4th Annual Global CSR Summit 2012 Philippines on 19-20 April 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Boracay, Philippines. The Summit, with this year's theme "Beyond Sustainability - Full Steam Ahead", is the world's most prestigious event and recognition event for corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Sponsored by Team Energy Foundation, Huawei, San Roque Power Corporation, Astro & Procter & Gamble, the two-day event will feature presentations from industry leaders and a practical workshop.

The keynote, "The Rise of the Asian Renaissance?" will be given by Mark Goyder, Founder Director of Tomorrow's Company.

Stef Kranendijk, Chief Executive Officer of Desso, will talk on "Innovations in Sustainability: How Cradle to Cradle Can Benefit Your Business".

Michael Heng, President and CEO of Energy Corp. Global Pte Ltd, will conduct a presentation titled "Towards a Dynamic Developmental CSR Model".

The Workshop will be led by Dr. Geoffrey Williams, the founder and Managing Director of Owens, Williams & Wood Consulting in Malaysia and Singapore.

Global CSR Awards 2012

The 4th Annual Global CSR Summit 2012 will be held in conjunction with the Global CSR Awards 2012, Asia's most prestigious recognition awards program for CSR. The program will recognize and honor companies for outstanding, innovative and world-class products, services, projects and programs implemented in 2011-2012. These projects should demonstrate the company's leadership, sincerity and on-going commitment in incorporating ethical values, compliance with legal requirements, and respect for individuals, communities and the environment in the way they do business.

Hon. Paquito N. Ochoa, Jr. who is the Executive Secretary of the Republic of the Philippines will be the Guest of Honor and Award Presenter for The Global CSR Awards.
