HKBU develops world-first metal-based probes for detection of dopamine receptors, a cancer biomarker

A team led by Dr Edmond Ma Dik-lung, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has developed the world's first iridium(III)-based probes for imaging dopamine receptors in living cells.

Research jointly led by HKBU and HKUST decoding the first deep-sea mussel genome published in Nature Ecology & Evolution

Joint research led by Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has assembled the 1.64 gigabytes genome of a deep-sea mussel, which is roughly equivalent to 50% of the size of human genome.

HKBU Chinese Medicine Scholars Conduct Research in Space Life Science aboard China's Tianzhou 1

The School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is conducting a space life science study on board China's first cargo spacecraft, Tianzhou-1, which was launched last month. HKBU is the only higher education institution from outside of Mainland to conduct a scientific research project onboard Tianzhou-1.
