HNA International Title Sponsors "HNA Brightness Action: Extra-curricular Activities Subsidy Scheme for Visually Impaired Students in Hong Kong"

HONG KONG, Jul 20, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - HNA Group (International) Company Limited ("HNA International"), a subsidiary of HNA Group, has announced that it is the title sponsor of the "HNA Brightness Action: Extra-curricular Activities Subsidy Scheme for Visually Impaired Students in Hong Kong." Through this partnership with the Hong Kong Society for the Blind, the participation in extra-curricular activities of visually impaired students from disadvantaged families at primary to tertiary education levels is to be subsidised. The beneficiaries are provided with a greater opportunity to participate in wholesome extra-curricular activities on a more equitable basis and develop into well-rounded personalities.

Debuting in the second semester of the academic year 2009/10 and organised by the Hong Kong Society for the Blind, the Extra-curricular Activities Subsidy Scheme for visually impaired students in Hong Kong has been initially supported and sponsored by several public-spirited people from the community in order to subsidise these visually impaired students to join in extra-curricular activities. From the academic year 2015/16 onwards, HNA International is to enthusiastically support through title sponsorship the scheme now named "HNA Brightness Action: Extra-curricular Activities Subsidy Scheme for Visually Impaired Students in Hong Kong." This programme enables the beneficiaries to improve their physical well-being and well-rounded development of the students through a greater opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities on a more equitable basis.

It has also provided such support helping to restore sight to patients overseas in Zimbabwe, Malawi and Mozambique in Africa in the past 11 years.
