マツダ、2017年後半より北米向け新型「マツダ CX-5」にディーゼルエンジンを搭載

広島, 2016年11月17日 - (JCN Newswire) - マツダ株式会社（以下、マツダ）は本日、ロサンゼルス自動車ショー*において、2017年後半より北米市場向けの新型「マツダ CX-5」に、クリーンディーゼルエンジン「SKYACTIV-D 2.2」を搭載することを発表しました。マツダとして初めて北米向けに導入するディーゼルエンジン車となります。

新型「CX-5」に搭載する「SKYACTIV-D 2.2」は、高回転域まで軽快に伸びるパフォーマンスやトルクフルな走りと、クラストップレベルの優れた燃費性能を両立した上で、北米の厳しい排出ガス規制に適合する見通しです。また、「ナチュラル・サウンド・スムーザー」や「ナチュラル・サウンド・周波数コントロール」など、マツダ独自のノッキング音を抑える技術を採用し、優れた静粛性と心地よいエンジンサウンドを実現しています。

マツダの丸本明（まるもとあきら）代表取締役副社長執行役員は、発表に際して、「このエンジンは、北米市場で優れた走りと環境性能の両方をお求めのお客様にとって、新しい選択肢になり得ると信じています。」と述べました。
