「Honda Riding Assist」がCES2017で3つの賞を受賞

Engadgetが主催するBest of CES2017の「Best Innovation」「Best Automotive Technology」、Popular Mechanicsが主催するBest of CESの「Editors' Choice Awards」を受賞

東京, 2017年01月09日 - (JCN Newswire) - Hondaのコンセプトモデル「Honda Riding Assist」が、1月5日から8日まで米国ネバダ州ラスベガス市で開催された世界最大の家電見本市CES2017において、公式アワードパートナーであるEngadget※1が主催するBest of CES2017の「Best Innovation」および「Best Automotive Technology」を受賞しました。また、米国Popular Mechanics誌※2が主催するBest of CESの「Editors' Choice Awards」も受賞し、Honda Riding AssistはCES2017で合計3つの賞を受賞しました。

Honda Riding Assistは、ASIMOに代表されるヒューマノイドロボット研究で培ったHonda独自のバランス制御技術を二輪車に応用し、CES2017で世界初公開した実験車です。ライダーが乗っていても、乗っていなくても自立することができ、ライダーが少しバランスを崩しても、バイク自体がバランスを保つことで、低速走行時や停止時のふらつき、取り回しの際の転倒リスクを軽減します。一方で、通常の走行時には、既存の二輪車と同等の操縦性を実現しています。ツーリングやバイクのある日常をより楽しいものにする提案です。
