三菱重工、商船事業のアライアンスで専業造船会社と基本合意

グローバル市場での競争力強化へ

東京, 2017年03月31日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は、商船事業分野でのアライアンス形成にむけて協議してきた今治造船株式会社（社長：檜垣幸人氏、本社：愛媛県今治市）および株式会社名村造船所（社長：名村建介氏、本社：大阪市西区）のそれぞれと、基本合意に達しました。なお、株式会社大島造船所（社長：南宣之氏、本社：長崎県西海市）とは同様の基本合意に向け、継続協議中です。グローバル市場における各社の事業競争力強化に向け、それぞれの独立性を尊重しながら、相互補完やシナジーを追求し、持続的な成長を目指すというものです。

今回の基本合意は、各社との技術提携による新船型・新技術の開発、設計・建造や各種ツールの標準化および艤装品の共通化、各社が持つ建造能力の機能的な活用に関して基本合意したもので、具体的な事業への反映については、個別に契約を締結していく予定です。

当社は、長年培ってきた省エネ技術や環境対策技術を中心としたエンジニアリング力を中核に、この新たなアライアンスを通じて事業競争力を強化し、世界規模で急激に変化する造船業界で日本の造船業のプレゼンス向上につなげていきます。
