さいたま市・ホンダ・ヤマハ、原付一種クラス電動二輪車(EVバイク)の実証実験開始
東京, 2017年07月21日 - (JCN Newswire) - さいたま市(市長:清水勇人)、本田技研工業株式会社(本社:東京都港区、社長:八郷隆弘、以下Honda)、ヤマハ発動機株式会社(本社:静岡県磐田市、社長:柳弘之、以下ヤマハ)の3者は、さいたま市の電気自動車普及施策「E-KIZUNA Project」の一環として、電動二輪車(以下EVバイク)の普及拡大と交通空白地域の解消に向けた実証実験を開始します。
このたびの実証実験は、電動車両を安心して快適に使える低炭素社会を目指す地方自治体とEVバイクの普及を目指す二輪メーカー2社で行う取り組みとしては初の試みであり、CO2削減とEVバイクの普及に向けた重要な一歩となります。
[実証実験について]
このたびの実証実験は、Honda・ヤマハの電動化技術とさいたま市の既存インフラを活用し、低炭素社会の実現と、交通空白地域における交通利便性向上の効果検証を行うものです。
実施内容: さいたま新都心駅東口自転車等駐車場における一般ユーザー向け原付一種クラス※EVバイクのレンタルとバッテリー交換サービス
レンタル車両: ヤマハ E-Vino(イービーノ)30台
開始時期: 2017年9月
利用者募集: 2017年7月21日からさいたま市のホームページにて募集
将来は、この実証実験のほか、EVバイクのシェアリングの実証実験も検討します。
この実証実験を通じ、さいたま市はこれまで普及拡大を進めてきた電動四輪車のみならず、EVバイクの活用も図ることにより、多様な電動モビリティを安心して快適に使える低炭素社会の実現を目指します。
Honda・ヤマハは、より環境に優しいEVバイクの普及によりお客さまが移動する喜びを感じ、より豊かな生活になることと、二輪市場のさらなる活性化に向けて取り組んでいきます。
※原付一種クラス:第一種原動機付自転車。道路運送車両法で定める、総排気量50cc以下のエンジン、または定格出力0.60kW以下の電動モーターを搭載する二輪以上の乗りもの。
