エーザイ、Biotoscana社と中南米における独占的ライセンス契約を締結
東京, 2017年10月04日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、米国子会社であるエーザイ・インクが、Grupo Biotoscana（本社：ウルグアイ、CEO：Mariano Garcia-Valino、以下Biotoscana社）と、中南米におけるがん領域および神経領域製品を対象とする独占的ライセンス契約を締結したことをお知らせします。
本契約に基づき、エーザイ・インクはBiotoscana社に対し、中南米をライセンス対象地域とする、抗がん剤「Halaven(R)」と「Lenvima(R)」、抗てんかん剤「Fycompa(R)」と「Inovelon(R)」について、承認申請および販売に関する独占的権利を供与します。ただし、メキシコにおいては、「Halaven」と「Lenvima」を今まで通り自社販売します。エーザイ・インクは、Biotoscana社に対して製品を供給し対価を受け取るとともに、同社より契約一時金およびマイルストンペイメントを受領します。
Biotoscana社は、中南米10カ国に拠点を持ち、各国でがん領域などの豊富なパイプラインを展開している製薬企業です。今回のBiotoscana社へのライセンス供与は、当社の画新的新薬を中南米各国の市場において迅速に普及、拡大させ、中南米の患者様へのさらなる貢献を可能とするものです。
