High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) の標準化活動でテレビ芸術科学アカデミー（The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences： ATAS）より受賞

東京, 2017年10月26日 - (JCN Newswire) - フラウンフォーファー HHI、ファーウェイ、メディアテック、ノキア、クアルコム、サムソン、ソニーなどが参加しているJoint Collaborative Team on Video Coding (JCT-VC) Standard Committee(*1)が、High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC)の標準化活動で、エミー賞(R)（「2017 Primetime Emmy Engineering Award」）を受賞しました。

HEVC は Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) コンテンツのネット配信、放送（地上波、衛星、ケーブルなど）などに広く採用されているビデオコーデック技術で、UHD TV やタブレット、スマートフォンなどに幅広く搭載されています。
