ソニーがエミー賞(R)の技術部門賞『フィロ・ファーンズワース賞』を受賞
映像制作機器やサービスを通じた、放送業界への貢献を高く評価
東京, 2017年10月26日 - (JCN Newswire) - ソニーは、米国のテレビ芸術科学アカデミー（The Academy of Television Arts ＆ Sciences）が主催する2017年度プライムタイム・エミー賞(R)の技術部門賞「フィロ・ファーンズワース賞」（Philo T. Farnsworth Corporate Achievement Award）を受賞しました。アジアのメーカーとして本賞を受賞するのは初めてです。
フィロ・ファーンズワース賞は、世界初の完全電子式テレビの発明者（1927年米国特許出願）に由来し、2003年の創設以来、長年放送技術の分野で優れた貢献をした企業や組織などに贈呈されるものです。
本賞の受賞は、ソニーが1946年の創業以来、長年、放送業界の発展にさまざまな技術、コンテンツ、サービスを通じて貢献してきたことや、現在、放送業務用機器の主要サプライヤーとして、報道番組から娯楽、スポーツに至るまで、あらゆるテレビ番組制作に高い影響力をもつ点が評価されたものです。
