昭和電工、SGL GE米国事業譲渡の手続きを完了

東京, 2017年11月08日 - (JCN Newswire) - 昭和電工株式会社（社長：森川宏平）は、2017年9月28日付「SGL GE買収に関する各国関係当局の承認およびSGL GE米国事業の譲渡について」にて公表いたしました、SGL GE Carbon Holding LLC全株式の東海カーボン株式会社への譲渡につき、11月7日に全ての手続きが完了しましたので、お知らせいたします。

当社中期経営計画『Project 2020+』において、黒鉛電極事業は安定した利益・キャッシュフローを創出する基盤化事業に位置付けています。当社は、SGL GE買収により、同事業におけるリーディングサプライヤーとなります。

今後当社は、SGL GE統合後の事業会社であるSHOWA DENKO CARBON Holding GmbHとの間でシナジー効果を早期に顕現し、競争の激しい事業環境下においても収益性と安定性を兼ね備えた強靭な事業とすることで、黒鉛電極事業のさらなる発展を目指します。
