富士通など、川崎市においてICT活用による津波被害軽減に向けた共同プロジェクトを開始
東京, 2017年11月24日 - (JCN Newswire) - 国立大学法人東京大学地震研究所（注1）（以下、東京大学地震研）、国立大学法人東北大学災害科学国際研究所（注2）（以下、東北大学災害研）、川崎市（注3）と富士通株式会社（注4）（以下、富士通）は、川崎市臨海部を対象とした津波被害軽減に向けた津波の予測や事前対策の技術検討に関して、それぞれの防災技術やAI・スパコンなどのICTを活用し、連携・協力して進めるプロジェクトについて定める覚書を、本日締結しました。
川崎市と富士通は、2014年度に「持続的なまちづくりを目指した包括協定（注5）」を締結しており、本技術検討はその活動の一環として、東京大学地震研と東北大学災害研との連携・協力により進めるものです。4者は、川崎市臨海部での検討結果を将来的に南海トラフ沿岸域などの他地域にも展開し、防災に強い持続的なまちづくりへの貢献を目指します。
