三菱重工、インダストリー＆社会基盤ドメイン 新年より新体制が発足
2015事業計画における事業再構築を完了へ
東京, 2017年12月04日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は、本年4月にグローバル競争力やエンジニアリング事業の強化に向けたグループシナジーの追求ならびに民間航空機および商船事業の抜本的改革の推進を狙い「パワー」「インダストリー＆社会基盤」「航空・防衛・宇宙」の3ドメイン体制に見直しました。その中で、インダストリー＆社会基盤ドメイン（I&Iドメイン）は、従来の機械・設備システム事業の強化策に加えて、エンジニアリング事業の強化と商船事業の改革を担い、関連事業を傘下に置いての事業改革に取り組んでいます。
事業改革のさらなる推進のため、I&Iドメインでは、来年1月1日をもってエンジニアリング事業と商船事業をそれぞれ新会社として発足させ、ドメインすべての事業を事業会社化します。これにより、2015年度から3ヵ年にわたる「中期経営計画（2015事業計画）」において取り組んできた事業の持続的成長のための選択と集中による構造改革は、本年度中に完了し、今後はその新体制の下でそれぞれの事業のさらなる成長を実現していきます。具体的には、事業の集約・再編によって競争力を強化し、技術・事業・人材リソース等の機動的運用を通じて安定した事業運営を行いつつ、伸長事業の育成に力を注いでいきます。
