三菱重工、工作機械分野における事業提携でジェイテクトと基本合意

市場競争力強化ならびに規模拡大へ

東京, 2017年12月22日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業株式会社（三菱重工、本社：東京都港区、取締役社長：宮永俊一）、および三菱重工の100%出資子会社である三菱重工工作機械株式会社（MAT、本社：滋賀県栗東市、代表取締役社長：岩﨑啓一郎）は、株式会社ジェイテクト（JTEKT、名古屋本社：名古屋市中村区、取締役社長：安形哲夫氏）と、工作機械・精密工具分野において資本参加を含む事業提携に向けた協議を開始することで基本合意に達しました。

3社の経営資源を合わせて活用することにより、工作機械事業の市場競争力強化ならびに規模拡大につなげるのが狙いです。2018年7月末日をめどとして、事業提携に必要な条件についての合意、ならびに正式契約の締結を目指します。

今後は、事業提携を通じて各社がこれまで積み上げてきた実績をもとに得意分野の補完性を活かし、技術力、営業力、コスト競争力などでシナジーを追求し、さらなる事業発展につなげていきます。
