デンソー、軽自動車初のフロントガラス投影式ヘッドアップディスプレイを開発

スズキ新型「スペーシア」にオプションとして採用

愛知, 2017年12月27日 - (JCN Newswire) - 株式会社デンソー（本社：愛知県刈谷市、社長：有馬浩二）は、運転に必要な情報をフロントガラス越しに表示し、ドライバーに伝えるヘッドアップディスプレイ(以下、HUD)を軽自動車向けに初めて（*）開発しました。2017年12月14日に発売されたスズキの新型「スペーシア」のオプションとして採用されています。

これまでHUDは、搭載性やコストが課題となり、搭載は高級車を中心とした一部の車種に限られていました。今回開発したHUDは、フロントガラスに合わせた最適設計を追求して、部品点数の削減等を行い、軽自動車の限られたインパネスペースへの搭載を可能にしました。また、衝突警報などの先進安全装備の作動状況、交差点案内や見落としがちな進入禁止の標識など、運転に必要な情報を「見やすく・わかりやすく・タイムリー」にカラーで表示することにより、視線移動や焦点の調節を減らし、安全運転に貢献しています。

HUDは、ドライバーの視線移動が少なくて済むため、安全に貢献できる技術として期待されており、今後、さらなる普及が見込まれています。デンソーは1991年以来、HUDを生産しており、今後も、HUDをはじめとする安全分野の各製品の開発・供給を通じ、交通事故のない社会の実現を目指していきます。
