エーザイ、中国の新蘇州工場において固体剤生産棟が竣工

東京, 2018年01月11日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役 CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、中国子会社である衛材（中国）薬業有限公司（Eisai China Inc.）が、蘇州工業園区内の新蘇州工場において、固体剤生産棟と管理棟を竣工しましたのでお知らせします。

当社は、中国における患者様貢献拡大に向けた製品のさらなる安定供給体制の強化および生産効率の向上を企図し、現蘇州工場（固体剤生産工場）の 5 倍以上の敷地面積を擁する新たな工場用地にて、新蘇州工場の整備を進めています。2014 年 11 月には、注射剤生産棟を竣工し、「メチコバール(R)」注射剤の生産を行っています。今回、新たに竣工した固体剤生産棟は、地上 3 階建て、延べ床面積20,240m2 となり、現蘇州工場の約 2 倍の生産能力（製剤約 30 億錠・包装約 50 億錠／年）を有します。2018 年度下期の稼動を予定しており、「メチコバール」、「アリセプト(R)」、「パリエット(R)」など中国国内向けの固体剤の製剤、包装を行います。新蘇州工場での固体剤生産の本格稼働後、現工場は閉鎖します。

当社における中国事業は、日本・米国に次ぐ規模を有する中核事業であり、このたびの新蘇州工場固体剤生産棟の竣工により、中国国内での自社生産機能の強化および高品質な医薬品の安定供給体制の拡充をはかり、中国市場における患者様とそのご家族のベネフィット向上に貢献してまいります。
