京都大学と富士通、高度医療化に向けたAI活用の共同研究講座を開設

東京, 2018年01月24日 - (JCN Newswire) - 国立大学法人京都大学（以下京都大学、注1）と富士通株式会社（以下富士通、注2）、株式会社富士通研究所（以下富士通研究所、注3）は、医療分野でAI（人工知能）を活用するための共同研究講座「医療情報AIシステム学講座」を京都大学大学院医学研究科に設置し、2018年1月より約2年間、活動を行います。

本共同研究講座では、京都大学医学部附属病院の電子カルテに蓄積された患者データなどの各種医療情報と、富士通グループが持つ最先端のAI技術「FUJITSU Human Centric AI Zinrai」を使い、京都大学の医師やバイオインフォマティクス研究者（注4）と、富士通グループのAI技術者が協力して、新たな診療支援や創薬の実現など、AIを活用した次世代の高度医療化に向けた研究開発を加速します。また、共同研究で開発した知識データベース基盤や得られた知見は、保険などの関連分野での応用も進め、社会に成果を広く還元していくことを目指します。
