三菱重工、次世代大型旅客機「777X」向け後部胴体パネルの初号機を出荷

最新設備による一貫生産体制を構築

東京, 2018年02月07日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は、米国ボーイング社の次世代大型旅客機「777X」向け後部胴体パネルの初号機を、広島製作所江波工場から出荷しました。2015年7月に正式調印した開発・製造に関する契約に基づき、当社は現行777シリーズにおける担当部位を踏襲し、777Xの後部・尾部胴体ならびに乗降扉の製造を手掛けています。

江波工場では同日、これを記念して出荷式を行いました。式典には、ボーイング 777Xプログラム担当バイスプレジデント（Vice President）兼ゼネラルマネージャーのエリック・リンドブラッド（Eric Lindblad）氏や、777/777Xオペレーション担当バイスプレジデント(Vice President)のジェイソン・クラーク(Jason Clark)氏をはじめ多数が列席しました。

江波工場は、旧鉄構工場を改修後、独自の自動化ラインを開発・設置し、品質のさらなる向上、処理能力の拡大と効率化をはかりました。また、777Xでは、部品製造においても独自開発の新型設備を導入し品質向上をはかるとともに、複数の場所にまたがって生産していた工程を集約して、一貫加工によるリードタイム短縮をはかるなど、従来作業におけるボトルネックを解消しています。

777Xは、エアラインへの初号機の引き渡しが2020年に予定されています。

当社は、777Xの国際共同生産においても最新の設備を開発・導入・活用して、民間航空機事業の一層の発展をはかっていきます。
