TOMODACHIイニシアチブとHondaが「TOMODACHI Honda グローバル・リーダーシップ・プログラム」を設立

東京, 2018年02月08日 - (JCN Newswire) - TOMODACHIイニシアチブ※と本田技研工業株式会社（本社：東京都港区社長：八郷隆弘、以下「Honda」）は、「TOMODACHI Hondaグローバル・リーダーシップ・プログラム」を設立しました。Hondaが資金提供を行い実施されるこの新プログラムは、2018年から2020年までの3年間にわたり実施される予定です。

本プログラムは、2014年から2016年度まで実施された、東日本大震災で被害のあった岩手・宮城・福島県の高校生が対象の「TOMODACHI Honda 文化交流プログラム」の成功を受け、新たに設立したもので、本年より対象を日本全国の高校生に拡大し、Hondaの米国本社や製造拠点のあるカリフォルニア州トーランス市およびオハイオ州メアリズビル市などを約2週間訪問します。

Hondaのコーポレートスローガンである「The Power of Dreams」に基づく本プログラムは、体験型学習を通して次世代を担う日本の高校生が、グローバル・リーダーシップを養い、日米の文化交流を実施する機会を提供します。夢を原動力に挑戦する人々との出会いや企業活動に触れることで、自らの夢を実現していく力を身につけ、次世代を担うリーダーとして成長することを目的としています。また、現地の高校生との交流やホームステイなどを通して、米国社会や文化を学びます。
