三菱電機、送信モジュール「400Gbps 小型集積 EML TOSA」のサンプル提供を開始

東京, 2018年03月07日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱電機株式会社は、伝送速度400Gbps(※1)の大容量高速光ファイバー通信で使用される送信モジュールの新製品として、IEEE 400GBASE-LR8規格(※2)に業界で初めて(※3)2個のTOSAで適合した「400Gbps 小型集積EML(※4) TOSA(※5)」のサンプル提供を4月1日に開始します。これにより、データセンターなどの光ファイバー通信機器収容局内の伝送速度の高速化と大容量化に貢献します。

なお、本製品は「The Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exhibition 2018」（3月13日～3月15日､於：米国・サンディエゴ）に出展します。

新製品の特長

8波長多重やPAM4変調方式などにより、400Gbpsの大容量高速通信を実現
- 短波長用と長波長用TOSA（各4波長）を組み合わせることで、8波長の多重伝送を実現
- 変調方式にPAM4(※6)を採用し、8波長で400Gbps（1波長あたり50Gbps）を実現
- 長距離伝送に適した高い消光比(※7)と光出力のEML素子の搭載により、伝送距離10kmを実現
- IEEE 400GBASE-LR8規格に業界で初めて2個のTOSAで適合
- 400Gbps光トランシーバーのパッケージ規格であるCFP8(※8)にも適合
