三菱電機、FTTH装置が「第50回市村産業賞」功績賞を受賞

国内のFTTH加入者数3,000万によりブロードバンド普及に貢献

東京, 2018年03月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱電機株式会社は、公益財団法人新技術開発財団が主催する「第50回市村産業賞」において、「FTTH※1装置の開発と実用化」で功績賞を受賞しましたのでお知らせします。贈呈式は、4月16日（月）に帝国ホテル東京にて行われます。GE-PONシステム装置※2、光デバイスを開発し、国内のFTTH加入者数3,000万によりブロードバンド普及に貢献したことが評価されたものです。

受賞した開発業績の概要

1. ブロードバンド通信サービスを提供するGE-PON装置を実用化
- 1本の光ファイバを用いて複数ユーザーで1Gbpsの通信データ量の共有を実現
- 通信事業者ビル内装置と各ユーザー宅内装置間の通信データ量を状況に応じて制御することで通信効率を向上
- 高速に同期再生する技術により、最大1Gbpsの通信データ量を実現

2. 1Gbpsの通信データ量を送受信するための高性能な光デバイスを実現
- 独自構造の回折格子により、特性の均一性に優れた光デバイスを実現し、送受信時のDFB※3レーザー光散乱を低減
