富士通、京大のワンストップバイオリソース事業を推進

日本における革新的医療開発を実現する日本初の産学連携の取り組み

東京, 2018年03月20日 - (JCN Newswire) - 国立大学法人京都大学と株式会社エスアールエル、株式会社椿本チエイン、シスメックス株式会社、富士通株式会社、株式会社アスクレップ、株式会社島津製作所、および株式会社SCREENホールディングスは、我が国における革新的医療開発に貢献することを目指し、それぞれの研究基盤、事業基盤を活かした新たな産学連携モデルを構築することといたしました。このなかで、京都大学は、医学部附属病院に設立されたクリニカルバイオリソースセンターによるワンストップバイオリソース事業を実施すると共に、企業7社は、株式会社KBBMを新たに設立して同事業を推進し、両者で、より有効でより安全な医薬品、治療法をより迅速に患者さんに届けるための「産」in「学」の新たな産学連携に取り組みます。なお、KBBMの名称には、革新的医療の架け橋を京都から（Kyoto Bridge for Breakthrough Medicine）という思いを込めて命名されました。

富士通は、本事業会社に出資すると共に、KBBMの業務オペレーション、データベースなどに関するシステムを提供・開発し、同社の円滑な運営の実現に向けた統合的なサポートを行ってまいります。また、KBBMの事業活動への参画を通じて、京都大学、各社と共に革新的で効率的な医療の実現に貢献して参ります。
