トヨタ自動車、レンタカーサービスに「プレミアムクラス」を新設

豊田, 2018年03月22日 - (JCN Newswire) - トヨタ自動車株式会社（以下、トヨタ）は、レンタカーサービスにレクサス車を取り扱った「プレミアムクラス」を新設し、トヨタレンタリース店＊1にて本年4月2日よりサービスの提供を開始します。

自動車業界が100年に1度の変革期にある中、従来の「所有」だけでなく、「利活用」のニーズが高まっています。レンタカー市場全体での保有台数も、2013年末の約61万台から2017年末は約80万台と大幅に増加しており、その中でもプレミアムレンタカーの保有台数は、2013年末の約5,000台から2017年末には約9,000台と、市場全体を上回る伸び率となっています。

今回の「プレミアムクラス」はこうしたお客様のニーズにお応えするものです。また、レクサス車の魅力をレンタカーで気軽にご体感いただく機会の拡大も目的としています。

主な取り扱い車種は、お客様の様々なご利用シーンに対応するため、セダンの「LS・GS・IS」、ハッチバックの「CT」、SUVの「RX・NX」をご用意します＊2。また、車種毎に最新型の車両（CURRENT）とモデルチェンジ前の車両（PREVIOUS）の2つの価格帯で商品を設定し、幅広いお客様ニーズにお応えしていきます。

東京を中心とする一部地域＊1から取り扱いを開始し、順次全国へサービスエリアを拡大していく予定です。

トヨタ及びトヨタレンタリース店は、今後もトヨタレンタカーならではの豊富な車種ラインナップ、約13万台の保有台数＊3、全国約1,200の店舗網＊3をベースにお客様に「安全・安心・快適・便利・簡単・迅速」なレンタカーとともに、移動の自由と楽しさを提供していきます。
