昭和電工、高純度臭化水素の生産能力増強を完了
東京, 2018年03月26日 - (JCN Newswire) - 昭和電工株式会社（社長：森川 宏平）は、半導体製造工程で使用される高純度臭化水素（HBr）の生産設備増強工事を完了し、今月より生産を開始しました。
高純度HBrはDRAMやNAND型フラッシュメモリ等の半導体製造工程において、ポリシリコンの微細加工（エッチング）に使用される特殊ガスです。IoT、ビッグデータ、自動運転といったデジタライゼーションの加速化で半導体市場はますます拡大し、それに合わせ高純度HBrの需要も拡大しております。
当社は、川崎事業所にて年産600トンの合成・精製生産設備を有しておりますが、高稼働が継続していることから、さらなる需要増を見込み、今般、年産能力を1.5倍の900トンに増強しました。
当社の電子材料用高純度ガス事業は40年近い歴史を持ち、長年培ってきた精製・分析・品質管理技術において高い評価をいただいています。また当社はフッ素系・塩素系・臭素系・アンモニア系といった多様な高純度ガスを製造・販売する世界唯一の企業として、お客様の製造工程に最適なガスを提案いたします。
