エーザイ、B型ボツリヌス毒素製剤「Neurobloc(R)」の欧州における権利をSloan Pharma社に譲渡
東京, 2018年03月30日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、B型ボツリヌス毒素製剤「Neurobloc(R)」の欧州における独占的開発権および販売権について、US WorldMeds, LLC （本社：米国ケンタッキー州ルイビル、CEO: Paul Breckinridge Jones、以下 US WorldMeds社）の100％子会社であるSloan Pharma, S.à.r.l., Switzerland（以下 Sloan Pharma社）に対して譲渡する契約を締結しましたのでお知らせします。本契約に基づき、当社はSloan Pharma社から、契約一時金を受領します。
当社は、2007年5月にSolstice Neurosciences, LLCと欧州における開発および販売に係る契約を締結し、痙性斜頸に係る適応で承認されていた本剤の販売を行ってきました。US WorldMeds社は、2010年にSolstice Neurosciences, LLCを買収して100％子会社化し、米国において本剤をMYOBLOCの製品名で販売しています。神経領域に強みを持ち、製品開発および商業化の知見を有するUS WorldMedsグループのSloan Pharma社に対する欧州における権利譲渡は、欧州の痙性斜頸患者様へのさらなる貢献を可能とするものです。
日本においては、当社が本剤の開発を行い、痙性斜頸に係る適応で承認取得し、2013 年3月から「ナーブロック(R)」の製品名で販売しています。日本における本剤の販売については、今後も当社が継続します。
