富士通・SMU・A*STAR、シンガポール海事港湾庁と海上交通マネジメント技術を活用した実証実験を開始
東京, 2018年04月16日 - (JCN Newswire) - 富士通株式会社(本社:東京都港区、代表取締役社長:田中 達也、以下 富士通)、シンガポール科学技術研究庁(Agency for Science, Technology and Research、所在地:シンガポール、長官:リム・チャン・ポウ、以下 A*STAR)の組織であるInstitute of High Performance Computing(IHPC)、Singapore Management University(所在地:シンガポール、学長:Arnoud De Meyer、以下 SMU)は、シンガポール海事港湾庁(Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore、所在地:シンガポール、代表:Andrew Tan、以下 MPA)と、シンガポール港における船舶の交通マネジメントのための技術を活用して、共同実証を開始しました。
本共同実証では、AI(人工知能)とビッグデータ解析などを用いて、海上貿易が盛んで船舶の交通量が多いシンガポール港とその水域の管理を最適化する技術を共同で研究開発し、MPAから提供される船舶の交通データをもとに、海上の渋滞予測や衝突などのリスクが高いホットスポットの予測精度を検証します。
富士通、A*STAR、SMUは、2014年に共同で設立した先端研究組織(Urban Computing and Engineering Center of Excellence、以下 UCE CoE)の下、2015年より海上交通マネジメント技術の研究開発を進めてきました。
今回は、これまでUCE CoEが行ってきた高速・大規模計算科学技術を用いて持続可能な社会創造に向けたソリューション・技術の開発をさらに進めるもので、業界や政府が直面する社会課題に応用し、シンガポールの実環境で実証を行います。
今後は、これまでの共同研究開発の成果と、今回のMPAとの検証により得られた知見やノウハウを統合し、富士通の海事向けソリューションとして、提供していく予定です。
