昭和電工、先端電池材料事業部が中国に販売会社を設立

東京, 2018年04月18日 - (JCN Newswire) - 昭和電工株式会社（社長：森川宏平）は、中国における電池材料事業強化のため、100％出資の販売子会社「昭和電工電池材料（上海）有限公司」を設立しました。

リチウムイオン電池（LIB）市場は、スマートフォンなどのモバイル用途に加え、世界的な環境意識の高まりによる新エネルギー車の普及で車載用途での需要も急速に拡大しています。特に中国では、政府支援策を背景として乗用車・商用車ともに電気自動車およびプラグインハイブリッド車の生産・販売台数の伸びが顕著で、LIBメーカーによる積極的な設備投資も進められています。

これまで当社は中国における統括会社「昭和電工管理（上海）有限公司」を通じ中国でのLIB材料の営業活動を行ってきましたが、成長著しい中国LIB市場での事業機会を的確に捉えるためには、事業部直下での迅速な意思決定と主要メーカーとのさらなる関係強化、精緻な情報収集が必要と判断し、今回新会社を設立したものです。

当社は現在推進中の中期経営計画“Project 2020＋”において、LIB材料を優位確立事業に位置づけております。今後は、新会社を中国での電池材料事業の中心拠点と位置づけ、さらなる事業拡大を目指してまいります。
