LEXUS、北京モーターショーで新型「ES」をワールドプレミア

豊田, 2018年04月25日 - (JCN Newswire) - LEXUSは、中国・北京で4月25日～5月4日に開催されている2018年北京モーターショー＊1で新型ESを世界初披露しました。

ESは、1989年にフラッグシップセダンLSとともに、LEXUS最初のラインアップとして誕生。上質な乗り心地や静粛性、広い室内空間で好評を博し、数多くの国・地域において基幹モデルとして、LEXUSの歴史を築き上げてきました。

今回発表の新型ESは、これまで世界中でご愛顧頂いてきたお客様の期待を超えるため、ESの原点と言える「上質な快適性」をさらに進化させました。また、フラッグシップであるLC・LSと同様に、新世代LEXUSとして、デザインや走りも大きな変革を遂げています。具体的には、低重心なGA-Kプラットフォームを活かし、流麗かつ引き締まったエクステリアと広く快適な室内空間を両立したほか、LEXUS独自のコンセプトに基づく、ドライビングの高揚感とくつろぎの空間を融合したインテリアを実現。また、新たなプラットフォーム・パワートレーンにより、歴代ESがDNAとして継承してきた上質な乗り心地を進化させるとともに、優れた操縦安定性で運転の気持ちよさを提供するなど、相反する要素を両立した「二律双生」を実現しています。さらに、第2世代「Lexus Safety System +」などの最先端技術で、より安全に運転を楽しんで頂けることを目指しました。

なお、初導入となる日本での新型ESの発売は、2018年秋頃を予定しています。
