マツダ、防府第2工場を本年8月に2直操業へ

広島, 2018年04月27日 - (JCN Newswire) - マツダ株式会社（以下、マツダ）は、2018年8月20日より防府第2工場（山口県防府市）を2直（昼・夜勤）で操業することを発表しました。防府第2工場の2直操業は、2008年12月以来9年8カ月ぶりで、これによって国内における車両生産拠点はすべて2直操業となります。

マツダでは、需要動向にスピーディーに対応するために、工場が持つ能力を最大限まで活用するべく、「マツダ CX-3」と「マツダ CX-5」を宇品工場（広島県広島市）に加えて防府工場でも量産するなど、これまでに工場間でフレキシブルに生産する体制を構築しています。この度、防府工場と宇品工場の操業体制を合わせることで、さらに効率的でフレキシブルな生産を実現するとともに、お客さまにより迅速に高品質なマツダ車をお届けできる体制の整備を図ります。
