昭和電工、2017年度アルミ缶リサイクル活動実績

東京, 2018年05月25日 - (JCN Newswire) - 昭和電工株式会社（社長：森川宏平）は、当社グループや協力企業各社の従業員によるアルミ缶リサイクル活動を実施しています。2017年度（2017年4月～2018年3月）は、本活動により約481万缶（約76トン*)のアルミ缶を回収しました。

*1缶=15.7グラムで換算

回収されたアルミ缶は、当社グループが買い取り、昭和アルミニウム缶株式会社等において飲料用アルミニウム缶の原料として使用されています。アルミ缶リサイクルは資源を有効活用するとともに、アルミ製造時の電力消費量を原料のボーキサイトから生産する場合に比べ約97％削減できます。

また、本活動の収益金の一部は、地域の社会福祉協議会や福祉施設、障害者サークルなど様々な施設や団体へ寄付され、当社グループの社会貢献活動として定着しています。

当社グループは、社会貢献企業の実現を目指し、CSRを企業活動の根幹においた経営を進めています。アルミ缶リサイクル活動のほか、使用済みプラスチックのアンモニア原料化や、パワー半導体SiCエピタキシャルウェハーの開発など、省資源・省エネルギーに貢献する事業活動を行っています。今後も製品・サービスの提供を通じ、豊かさと持続性が調和する社会の創造に貢献してまいります。
