富士通と富士通フロンテック、手のひら静脈認証センサー「PalmSecure」が累計販売台数100万台を達成

東京, 2018年05月31日 - (JCN Newswire) - 富士通株式会社（以下富士通、注1）と富士通フロンテック株式会社（以下富士通フロンテック、注2）が製造・販売する、手のひら静脈認証センサー「FUJITSU 生体認証 PalmSecure（パームセキュア）シリーズ」（以下、PalmSecure）が、このたび累計販売台数100万台を達成しました。

手のひら静脈認証は、非接触で手のひらの静脈パターンを読み取り、瞬時に正確な本人認証を行う生体認証方式です。本技術は株式会社富士通研究所（以下富士通研究所、注3）が2003年に世界で初めて開発し、富士通および富士通フロンテックが2004年に販売を開始しました。その後、センサーの認証の精度や速度の向上、小型化などの改善を図り、現在ではATMやPCログオン、入退室管理など、幅広い本人確認のセキュリティ対策として、世界約60カ国、約7,300万人が日々利用しています。
