三菱重工、チャイナ・コスコ・シッピングと方形SOxスクラバーの実証試験で合意

大型船に搭載し、省スペース・高効率除去性能を検証へ

東京, 2018年06月06日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は6月5日、グループ企業の三菱造船株式会社および三菱日立パワーシステムズ株式会社（MHPS）が共同開発した大型船舶向けの方形スクラバーについて、中国国営造船集団である中遠海運重工有限公司（COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.：CHI、本社：上海）のグループ造船会社であるCOSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) Co., Ltd.（CHI大連）と連携してChina COSCO Shippingの大型船に実証試験機を搭載することで合意しました。

この方形スクラバーは、三菱造船の船舶エンジニアリング力とMHPSの総合排煙処理技術の融合（注）により実現したものです。限られた設置スペースを有効に活用できる利点に加え、MHPSが火力発電所向け排煙脱硫装置で培った高い脱硫技術により、硫黄分濃度3.5％の安価なC重油燃料を燃焼させたガス中のSO2（二酸化硫黄）を、2020年に全海域が対象となる厳しいSOx（硫黄酸化物）排出規制レベルに適合する0.1％硫黄分燃料相当まで低減することができます。

当社は今後三菱造船およびMHPSを通じて、CHI大連と方形スクラバーの製造・販売提携に向けた協議を進めていきます。
