三菱商事、オランダにおける新規洋上風力発電事業の一部株式譲渡及び発電所の建設開始について

東京, 2018年06月29日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱商事株式会社（以下、当社）は、Diamond Generating Europe社（当社英国100％子会社、以下DGE）を通じて参画する蘭Borssele（ボルセレ）III/Ⅳ洋上風力発電事業の建設を開始したと共に、同事業の株式の一部をスイスのインフラファンドPartners Groupに譲渡しましたのでお知らせ致します。同事業は、Eneco社、Royal Dutch Shell社、Van Oord社と共に 4社で開発を進めて参りましたが、今後はPartners Groupを加えた5社体制で事業を推進します。総発電容量は約73万kW、2019年中に洋上据付工事に着手、2021年の運転開始を見込んでおります。

欧州では2030年までに5,000万kWに上る洋上風力発電の導入が見込まれております。ESG投資の気運が高まるなか、リスクが低減された段階で再生可能エネルギー事業への参画を図る事業者・機関投資家が多数います。今回の譲渡は、建設前のリスクが下がった段階で参画を希望するPartners Groupと、資産入替えにより発電事業のポートフォリオの最適化を図る当社の戦略が合致したものです。

当社は、DGEを通じて欧州にて本事業を含め計4件*の洋上風力発電事業（総発電容量200万kw超：概要下表）に参画しております。これらを通じて蓄積した事業運営の経験を活かし、経済価値・社会価値・環境価値の三価値同時実現に資する案件に取り組み続けることで、2030年までに発電量の20％超を再生可能エネルギー由来とする目標の早期達成を目指します。
