スパークス・グループ、「未来創生2号ファンド」設立―トヨタ自動車、三井住友銀行も再び出資。目標額500億円

豊田, 2018年07月31日 - (JCN Newswire) - スパークス・グループ株式会社（社長：阿部修平、以下、スパークス）は、未来創生2号ファンドを設立し、トヨタ自動車株式会社（社長：豊田章男、以下、トヨタ）並びに株式会社三井住友銀行（頭取CEO ：髙島誠、以下、三井住友銀行）の2社は、1号ファンドに続き、同ファンドへ当初の出資者として参画することを決定しました。2015年11月に組成した1号ファンドの投資対象領域である「知能化技術」、「ロボティクス」、「水素社会実現に資する技術」の3分野に加え、2号ファンドでは新たに「電動化」「新素材」を加えた5分野で世界の未公開ベンチャー企業を投資対象とします。

新ファンドの概要は以下の通りです。

1. 基本理念
- 未来社会に向けた成長を牽引しうる技術を有する企業や事業を対象に、出資を通じた育成をはかり、イノベーションの加速に貢献
- 発掘した企業群でポートフォリオを組む事により、未来を拓く「新たな力」を見える化し、世界に発信

2. 目指す機能
- 「知能化技術」「ロボティクス」「水素社会実現に資する技術」「電動化」「新素材」を中核技術と位置づけ、それらの分野の革新技術を有する企業、またはプロジェクトを対象に投資を行う。

3. 概要
- スパークスをファンド運営者とし、トヨタ、三井住友銀行を加えた3社による総額約143億円の出資により、8月より運用開始予定
- 2019年3月を目途に、新ファンドの趣旨に賛同いただける投資家の方々から追加出資を募り、最終的には総額500億円規模のファンドを目指す
