LEXUS、新型「RC」を世界初公開

新世代への変革を遂げたLEXUSスポーツクーペ

豊田, 2018年08月30日 - (JCN Newswire) - LEXUSは、マイナーチェンジしたスポーツクーペ「RC」を世界初公開しました。新型RCは、フランス・パリで10月2日～14日に開催されるパリモーターショー＊1に出展予定です。

RCは、2014年の発売以来、クーペならではの人を魅了するデザインと、走りへの情熱を駆り立てる走行性能を兼ね備えたモデルとして、LEXUSの「エモーショナルな走り」のイメージをけん引してきました。

今回発表の新型RCは、フラッグシップクーペLCで培った新世代LEXUSのデザイン・走りを継承し、より魅力的なクーペに進化することを目標として開発しました。具体的には、独創的かつスポーティなイメージはそのままに、LCの流れを汲むエレガントなエクステリアデザインを両立させました。また、LEXUSならではの高い質感や快適性に加え、運転の愉しさを際立たせるインテリアとしました。さらに、LCの「より鋭く、より優雅」な走りを継承するため、空力性能やタイヤ、サスペンションなどの主要部品を改良したほか、エンジンの特性やステアリングフィールといった細部にいたるまで作りこみを実施。ドライバーの運転操作に忠実な高い操縦安定性と、フラットな車両姿勢や滑らかな走りによる優れた乗り心地を実現しています。

新型RCの日本での発売は、2018年10月下旬を予定しています。
