三菱商事、ベトナムにおける合弁会社に関するお知らせ

東京, 2018年08月30日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱商事株式会社（代表取締役社長：垣内威彦、以下「三菱商事」）と株式会社ファーストリテイリング（代表取締役会長兼社長：柳井正、以下「ファーストリテイリング」）は、2019年秋からベトナムにおけるユニクロ事業を展開するため、合弁会社を設立することをお知らせいたします。

ベトナムは近年5～7%の経済成長率を維持しており、今後も中間層の拡大に伴う国内消費市場の堅調な拡大が見込まれています。まずはホーチミン市に1号店をオープンし、ブランド確立に努めます。また、1号店オープンに備え、現地での採用活動も始めて参ります。

三菱商事は、1955年よりベトナムでの事業を開始し、現在では、自動車事業や産業機械事業をはじめ、幅広く事業展開を行っております。
ファーストリテイリングは、2009年のシンガポールにおけるユニクロ1号店出店により、東南アジア・オセアニア地域における展開を開始し、その後、マレーシア、タイ、フィリピン、インドネシア、オーストラリアへと店舗網を拡大することで、2018年5月末の同地域における店舗数は193店に達しています。

今回の合弁事業は、2011年のタイ、2013年のインドネシア、2017年のロシアに次ぐ4カ国目となり、各国におけるユニクロ事業は2018年5月末時点で、タイ39店舗、インドネシア18店舗、ロシア29店舗まで拡大しております。
