LEXUS、デジタルアウターミラーを量産車に世界初採用

10月下旬発売予定の新型ESに採用

愛知, 2018年09月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - LEXUSは、日本向けの新型ESに、量産車として世界で初めてデジタルアウターミラーを採用することを発表しました。

デジタルアウターミラーは、車両のフロントドア外側のカメラで撮影した車両左右後方の映像を、フロントピラー部に設置された5インチディスプレイに表示。カメラ部を雨滴が付着しにくい形状としたほか、ディスプレイを室内に搭載することで、天候の影響を受けにくい優れた視認性を確保しました。

また、ウインカー操作、リバース操作と連動させ、表示エリアを自動的に拡大するほか、ドライバーの操作で任意に表示エリアを広げることも可能とし、運転状況に応じた周辺確認支援を実現しました。

さらに従来のミラーを小型のカメラに置き換えることで、斜め前方の視界を拡大するとともに、風切音低減による高い静粛性を実現しています。

なお、日本での新型ESの発売は、2018年10月下旬を予定しています。
