三菱重工、ESG投資指標「Dow Jones Sustainability Index（DJSI）」における「Asia Pacific Index」の構成銘柄に2年連続で選定

東京, 2018年09月14日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は、世界の代表的なESG（環境・社会・ガバナンス）投資の指標である「Dow Jones Sustainability Index（DJSI）」における「Asia Pacific Index」の構成銘柄に、昨年度に続き2年連続で選定されました。

DJSIは、1999年に米国S&P Dow Jones Indices社とスイスの投資顧問会社RobecoSAM社が開発した指標で、世界の上場企業を経済・環境・社会の3側面から総合的に分析し、持続可能性に優れた企業を選定するものです。2018年は、アジア・太平洋地域の主要企業約600社のなかから、当社を含む150社（うち日本企業75社）が選定されました。

当社は、持続可能な社会の実現を目指して、自社および顧客における環境負荷の低減、女性の活躍推進、企業統治と情報開示の強化など、環境・社会・ガバナンスの各側面において様々な取り組みを積極的に進めてきました。そのことが評価されて、DJSIの選定に加え、世界最大の年金基金である年金積立金管理運用独立行政法人（GPIF）が昨年7月に選定したESG指数である｢FTSE Blossom Japan Index｣ならびに｢MSCI日本株女性活躍指数｣の構成銘柄にも引き続き選ばれています。
